The Flag of Armenia Was Officially Adopted on August 24, 1990. The Flag of Armenia Consists of three equal horizontal stripes of red top, blue in the middle and bottom orange. Red recalls Armenian blood spilled during the struggle for independence. Blue is for hope and the Armenian skies. Orange represents the blessings of hard work. Armenia became a Soviet republic in 1922.

Armenia was independent of 1920–1921, and the Current Flag used today comes from this era. Flag of Armenia origin is in design from the Armenian Institute in Venice of 1885, although this ﬂag used the colors red-green-blue. After independence from Russia in 1991, the Soviet ﬂag was replaced by the 1920 tricolor of red- blue-orange.
The Current National Flag of Armenia was in the Democratic Republic of Armenia used (1918-1922). However, by the annexation of Armenia to the USSR from 1922-1991 by the Soviet flag similar replaced. She stayed during demonstrations in the last days of the Armenian SSR in the 1980s, a symbol of an independent Armenia, and on 24 August 1991 reintroduced.
