National Animal of Indonesia is Komodo dragon. It represents the identity of the Republic of Indonesia. Indonesia’s National Animal, the Komodo dragon is a species of lizard. They are living in this world million years. This animal is very powerful, aggressive and strong. Even they can prey more than their sizes. It is the national animal symbol of Indonesia.

It’s matter of sorrow that their species are decreasing regularly mostly for hunting them and habitat loss. Though Komodo national Park is trying to preserve them and it proves also they are in the red list. Komodo dragon walks at least 2 km everyday for searching food. They are also good swimmers and travelers. They are not harmful to human. Though in some environment Komodo Dragon attacks the human. Though it’s so rare and if they think anyone is trying to harm them. To clarify, Kombo Dragon is considered as the national symbol of Indonesia.

Their weight stays around 70 kg – 150 kg (150 lbs – 300 lbs). They can run/walk 18 kph and their lifespan goes 25 to 40 years. They eat Pigs, Deer, and Water Buffalo. They are not harmful to humans. For this reason, they have made this animal as their National Animal Symbol of Indonesia.

In a word, Komodo is the symbol of wildlife of Indonesia. So they have taken it as their national identity of Indonesia.
